Use, inspection & care

Check it before every shift

Train every user, and have a rescue plan ready before anyone works at height.

  • Before each use: check the casing, the anchorage-eye swivel, the full length of the lifeline as you pull it out, the hook gate and the load indicator.
  • Test the brake with a sharp pull on the lifeline: it must lock at once.
  • If the load indicator has deployed, or the block has arrested a fall, withdraw it and send it for service.
  • Practise the retrieval with your rescue team, and keep the crank handle with the block.
  • Mount it on a tripod or davit rated for the load, over the opening.

Common questions

Can't find what you need? Call +91 8340 84 84 84 or write to info@jarshsafety.com.

Can one person rescue a fallen worker with it?
The built-in winch lets a trained rescuer raise or lower the worker from above. Your rescue plan should set out who does what.
What do I mount it on?
An anchor rated for fall arrest and rescue, such as the AP07DP tripod or the JSFBD-01 davit. See Rescue & Retrieval.
Galvanised or stainless steel?
Both are available. Stainless steel suits wet and corrosive sites. Tell us which with your enquiry.
What about test results?
The data sheet lists EN 360:2023 and EN 1496:2017 Class B. We send the test reports with your quotation.
