A UV-stabilised HDPE helmet that withstands 20 kV rms for 30 minutes with leakage under 3 mA. Built to IS 2925:2014 and ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 Class E, with an 8-point ratchet suspension and slots for earmuffs and face shields.

The shell is UV-stabilised high-density polyethylene, chosen for impact resistance and electrical insulation. The harness, chin strap and suspension are non-conductive, and the shell is deliberately unvented, because vents compromise electrical protection.

The helmet protects against contact. A SmartVolt on the helmet warns before contact, sounding an alarm about 2.5 m from a live 66 kV line.
