Use, inspection & care

Inspect it, every time

Train every user, follow the user instructions supplied with each product, and have a rescue plan ready.

  • Have a competent person confirm that the structure can take the anchor load before first use.
  • Inspect slings, trolleys and lifelines before every use: webbing, stitching, wheels, flanges, D-rings and the tensioner.
  • Withdraw any anchor or connector that has arrested a fall, or that shows cracks, deformation or corrosion.
  • Lock every carabiner gate, and load carabiners along the spine, never across the gate.
  • Protect ropes and webbing from sharp edges with an edge protector.
  • Follow the user instructions for the number of users and the span of a horizontal lifeline.
