THE SITUATION
In Hyderabad, where summer temperatures often soar above 45°C, these officers spend long hours exposed to extreme heat, humidity, and pollution. The result - fatigue, dehydration, and severe heat stress that affect not only their comfort but also their health and efficiency on duty.
THE CHALLENGE
Long shifts at junctions with little shade made the heat unbearable, leading to frequent exhaustion and even instances of heat-related illness. It became clear that there was an urgent need for an effective solution to protect these real-life heroes.
THE INTERVENTION
In response to acute heat stress, Jarsh successfully deployed activcooling helmets on a trial basis to traffic constables at key junctions. Equipped with a built-in continuous airflow system, the units effectively ensured thermal comfort during peak summer, validating the solution and leading to adoption.
