Use, inspection & care

Inspect it, every time

Train every user, follow the user instructions supplied with each product, and have a rescue plan ready.

  • Have a written rescue plan before anyone works at height or enters a confined space, and practise it.
  • Inspect every rescue device, rope and connector before use, and after every rescue.
  • Only trained people should operate descent devices, winches and davits.
  • Use a winch to lift and lower; use a fall-arrest device for fall protection. The JWN20 winch is not a fall-arrest device.
  • Check the tripod or davit footing and anchorage before each use.
  • Store devices clean and dry, and keep the user instructions with them.

FAQ

Common questions

Can't find what you need? Call +91 8340 84 84 84 or write to info@jarshsafety.com.

How fast does RapidEvaQ™ descend?
Between 0.5 and 2 m/s. A centrifugal brake keeps the speed steady, up to a descent height of 160 m.
Can the rescue winch be used for fall arrest?
No. The JWN20 is a lifting and lowering device to EN 1496:2017 A. Use a retrieval block or fall arrester for fall protection.
What's the difference between the tripod and the davit?
The AP07DP tripod is portable and sets up over an opening. The JSFBD-01 davit is stainless steel and mounts on a fixed floor or wall base, for sites with regular entry in wet or corrosive conditions.
Do you supply complete confined-space kits?
