MaxSpan™ 300 · Over-roof horizontal lifelineA continuous lifeline across the roof.

MS300Over-roof lifeline

MaxSpan 300 is a permanent horizontal lifeline riveted to trapezoidal metal roofs. Workers clip a trolley onto 8 mm SS316 wire rope and walk the full run, round corners and through intermediate brackets, without ever unclipping.

Where it is used

For people who work on metal roofs

Anywhere maintenance, cleaning or inspection crews walk a trapezoidal sheet roof.

Warehouses and factories

Roof-mounted HVAC, skylights, gutters and solar arrays.

Logistics and cold stores

Long, low-pitch roofs where the run is long and the edge is far.

Utility and plant buildings

Regular inspection walks that need a permanent, always-ready anchorage.

Solar installations

Cleaning and maintenance crews moving along rows of panels.

How it is laid out

Anchor, absorb, tension, travel

Riveted posts sit on the sheet peaks so water drains freely. The shock absorber and tensioner sit at one end; intermediate brackets split the run into spans of up to 12 m; a corner piece takes the line round bends.

Add LineAlert™

Make your MaxSpan™ 300 tell you when it is used.

A fixed line is passive: nobody knows it arrested a fall until someone looks. LineAlert fits inline beside the shock absorber, measures line tension around the clock, and sends a fall alert to your team's phones within a minute, over LTE, powered by its own solar panel.

  • Fall alert in ≤ 1 minute, via the LineAlert app
  • Slack or wear alerts before the line goes out of tune
  • Retrofits to existing lines: no new posts, no cutting, no shutdown
  • Every site on the JarshConnect dashboard and the Jarsh LineAlert app

FAQ

Common questions

Can't find what you need? Call +91 8340 84 84 84 or write to info@jarshsafety.com.

What roofs does MaxSpan 300 fit?
Trapezoidal metal roof sheets. The riveted anchor posts fit sheet profiles with a pitch of 230 mm to 290 mm and are fixed at the peak, so water drains past them. The shock absorber is also suitable for standing-seam lines; ask us about your roof.
How far apart are the intermediate brackets?
No more than 12 m. Shorter spans mean less sag and less deflection in a fall.
Does the worker have to unclip at brackets or corners?
No. The detachable trolley (MS300-6) passes through the intermediate brackets, and the corner piece redirects the line, so the user stays connected for the whole run.
What does the shock absorber do?
MS300-03 is a spring-type energy absorber between the rope and the end anchor. It reduces the load that reaches the anchors and the roof structure in a fall. Replace it if it deforms after a fall.
Do you install the system as well as supply it?
Talk to our team about your site. We prepare the layout and bill of materials, and can advise on installation. Request a site survey.
How often should a fixed line be inspected?
Inspect components as their instructions require: before use for user-facing parts such as the trolley and rope grab, and periodically for anchors, brackets and rope. Replace any shock absorber, rope or rope grab that has arrested a fall. Follow your local regulations for formal periodic examination.
Can LineAlert be added to this system later?
Yes. LineAlert fits inline beside the shock absorber on horizontal and vertical lines, new or existing. See how LineAlert works.
Can I get data sheets and drawings?
Email info@jarshsafety.com and we will send the technical data sheets and layout information for the components you need.
